We are very aware that some of our members have experienced a few frustrations using our website over the past 18 months, and we are the first to admit that we were equally frustrated that our website did not deliver what it should have done. But since recruiting our own in house tech team, headed by our CTO Manoj Varsani, we’re pleased to let you know you are about to see some significant improvements. The new website will go live on 3rd March and is just the starting point for a raft of improved functionality and added features which will be phased in over the course of 2018.

This ‘Phase 1’ launch concentrates on the ‘front end’ of the website, namely the design, registration process, the information we provide and the investment process making it easier to understand and quicker to invest.

We have listened to member feedback and are aware that the ‘back end’ of our website – namely your client dashboard – has scope for considerable improvement too. You won’t see changes to this area immediately as the work planned is very significant but our tech team will be focused on this for our next phase of development and gradual improvements will be made over the next six months until it works as it was originally intended.

Nonetheless, the new look website will be filled to the brim with exciting new features, content and investment opportunities, and we believe it will make investing with The House Crowd easier than before.

Introducing Our Tech Team

During 2017, the business invested in building an in-house tech team who have put a huge amount of effort into this project.

We thought you might like to meet the team (well 3 of them – Phil is on the tea round), so I managed to snap this very natural looking picture of them all hard at work when they weren’t expecting it! Pictured are Catia, Mike and Manoj.

The developments you will see in early March will be through their hard work, but has been built on a foundation of members’ feedback, and we’re very grateful to those investors who provided us with such detailed feedback over the past few weeks.

What’s going to be different after 3rd March?

How it looks

Let’s start with the obvious. The website will look and feel very different from before, incorporating a brand new logo and different imagery.

Easier sign up process

If you already have an account with us, you won’t have to do anything. You can login and invest just as you can now.

However, we have made the sign up process easier for new users. Straightforward and right to the point, we have reduced  the previous 5 step process down to just 3:

Step 1 – Create your account with a few necessary contact details.

Step 2 – Agree to our risk warning and provide a few bits of personal info.

Step 3 – Verify your ID directly from your mobile or desktop in just a few clicks.

We’re also recording videos to help you through each step, showing you how to complete the necessary checks and invest to make your experience as hassle-free as possible.

Brand new ‘Auto-Invest’ product

To coincide with our new website we will also have a fantastic new investment product as well.

Auto-Invest enables you to take the stress out of managing a diverse investment portfolio.

You can invest in just a few clicks and then we do all the hard work, automatically diversifying your funds across a number of loans and thus spreading your risk.

Building upon your feedback we’ve been able to piece together a website that caters to our members’ needs, regardless of their investment experience.

The new website will include a host of new content, for example:

Would you like to get involved?

As mentioned above, the new website you’ll see from 3rd March won’t be the end of the process. It is just the end of the beginning. We will update you on progress throughout the year as improvements are made.

For phase 2, we are looking for investors to help us shape how your client dashboard should look.
