What is Auto-Invest?
With Spring here (sort of) there’s plenty to be excited about and we’re not just talking about the prospect of better weather. We’ve just launched our brand-new Auto-Invest product, a brand-new service that lets you spread your risk and diversify your capital, without even having to lift a finger!
Expanding upon our current range of investment products, we have introduced Auto-Invest as an alternative and simple way to invest.
When you choose Auto-Invest you will be investing in peer-to-peer loans and or development finance loans. Rather than you having to go through the process of selecting individual properties to invest your capital (unless you want to), The House Crowd invests on your behalf and chooses the properties in accordance with your agreed criteria. Upon making your investment to the Auto-Invest service, you can sit back, relax and let The House Crowd take the reins and diversify your portfolio for you.
How can Auto-Invest benefit me?
As well as having the luxury of your capital being automatically invested, you will benefit from the ability to compound your interest and potentially earn an average annualised return of 8.2% p.a. With a fixed rate of 7% p.a you can start earning interest only 14 days from the date to which your funds are received.
The interest that is generated from your investment is then paid into the account of your choice twice a year, on the 30th of October and the 30th of April respectively. Ideal for those who want to experience the benefits of our peer-to-peer loans and development loans but don’t want the hassle of having to pick and choose a portfolio, our Auto-Invest service provides you with the ability to earn interest, completely hands-free!
Auto-Invest vs Individual Property Loans
When you use our Auto-Invest service you automatically spread your money across a diverse portfolio of peer-to-peer loans and property developments. Unlike individual property loans, you will no longer have to spend your time looking through specific criteria to find your perfect loan. We’ll do it for you!

With this in mind, please remember that even though your interest rates are fixed your capital returns are not. As with any investment, there is an element of risk. The House Crowd does, however, do everything they can to mitigate them. Your investment is secured by a way of a legal charge against the borrower’s land/property assets.
This means that if a property does, in fact, end up going into default, there is always (depending on the type of charge) the value of the property/land to fall back on. Before things get to that stage though, rest assured that The House Crowd perform all of the due diligence checks to ensure that our borrowers are reputable and responsible people.
